Default Found my dream car, I bought it today :)

I test drove this car today....
01 spa
74k miles
they're asking around 13,000

it's very clean looking, I'm wondering if it's been repainted, I couldn't find a single stone chip! Also, it looks like top has been replaced, it's in good shape with a glass window & rear defogger. It POURED today and the interior was dry, so that's a good sign, right? The engine is very clean like it's been taken care of and the tires look pretty good (Kumho Ecstas)

I was hoping to find some things I can use to talk them down in price, but it's pretty tough cuz this car looks* amazing. Too good to be true?
The only thing was, when I was driving it with top & windows up, it was VERY LOUD, lots of wind noise from the top maybe? I drove a blue one a while ago and I don't remember it being super loud, is that a problem with the roof?

I really don't wanna spend over 12 total, including tax, tags, etc. Do you think it's feasible?
wish I had better pics!!

It's really clean. I'd be one to pay a premium on a car that is premium shape.

it *LOOKS* really clean....I'm just terrified that all the prettyness is hiding a nightmare, you know? I guess it's a chance....I'm gonna try to have my husband go drive it while I'm at work tomorrow and see what he thinks

In your first pic it looks like the top might not be properly latched on the driver's side. I'm not 100% sure but it seems like it is up too high. Possible reason for increased wind noise?

Edit:

For comparison-

FYI - the car has aftermarket front and rear Honda badges. A mod like that, it's more than likely that the previous owner was younger. Not definite, but take it for what it's worth.

Also, are those Kumho ASXs? Pretty crap tire for an S2000.

yeah, I did notice the black badges, not crazy about that, but whatever, at least they aren't "ricey" looking....yes, the tires are kumho.

as for the roof being latched, that might be a possibility... the guy at the dealership was glued to me and i didn't put the top down until after the test drive. I should've gone out again with it to check and see if the noise was quieter.

Tops wear out.

I think it needs new strikers and you will be fine. Use that to get the price down. $13K is on the higher side, but if it's well cared for, go for it.

The black chrome badges are optional Honda items.
