where are the vin #s on the fenders? Can you see them from under the hood? I'm not getting super excited, but I really did kinda want yellow (or white) lol.... Thanks for the good info, guys
Around here in Denver that car would easily sell for 13K in good condition. From my experience it's hard to find a clean stock(ish) S2000 that hasn't been wrecked.
I can run a carfax for you if you want. I have a few that need to be used up in a few days. PM me with the VIN if you like.
where are the vin numbers on the fender walls???? new body panels or removed for the respray.
it's not that clear but, wherever i made a circle the vin number should be visible(the vins on the fenders and bumper is stickers), but i don't know where the vin on the engine block is located.

Yeah that's the first thing I noticed. Big negative.
No VIN stickers anywhere on the front of the car and aftermarket badges = RUN AWAY

I wouldn't say run away necessarily, but certainly run a carfax (make sure it wasn't resprayed following an accident), and don't pay what they're asking.
Use autotrader and cars.com. Find a car within 500 miles or something like that. You might find a newer or lower mileage yellow S2000 for the same or less money if you make a drive. It's certainly worth a look.
look the market has changed. the s2000 is more of a maintenance car than an original investment. i bet you could get the same thing for 6k now. no kidding. cars is cheeeeep!
now consider:
new tires, oem so2's, possible wreck from replaced body panels, the over 70k means clutch will be an issue, no records of service, or even owners....needs leakdown/compression check, and check for cracked retainer rings, all may "look good" on the outside, but you must consider this is a unique automobile.....
i wouldn't buy an s2000 ap1 with that high milage unless i knew the person quite well whom i were buying it from.....
you guys are all too critical about this car imo. like sr240sxt said that car would easily go for 13k in colorado. i bought my 00 gpw with 83k miles on it for 12,900, and the car was definitely repainted. I myself am okay with this price because i finally own the car i've been wanting for 6 years now.
