Doug, you're right. I'll have to think about that. I'd always heard that water was drawn in last through the fuel system as the tank empties. I think what you're saying contradicts that.

The gasoline gauge certainly isn't linear. It moves in large increments (as opposed to the small increments u see)

Anyway, I think it's generally good to refill when you have about 1/5 to 1/4 left. I tend not to run my gas tank down too low in the winter to avoid condensation issues (not that if that'll make a difference .... hehe)
