Default Hello

Hello i am about to buy an new s2000, i am trading in my tsx and I would be using it as a daily driver in NY. I have a couple questions, What is it like driving in the rain, under normal driving conditions? What is it like driving in traffic?

Welcome. Many people use the S as a daily driver. Like most cars, it has its goods and bads. By NY, I'm assuming you do a fair bit of city driving. The good things about the S in this situation include compact size, reliability and reasonable gas mileage. The wet won't pose too much of a problem, just make sure you have a good set of tires - Eagle F1s seem to offer a blend of performance and wet weather handling. The stockers are not the best wet weather tire. However, one of the things this car lacks is low-end torque so you may be rowing the shifter a good bit in traffic, which could get tiresome. Storage space is also at a premium. Finally, the stock sound system is not good. Try posing this question in the NY subforum and see what those guys think. Good luck.

Welcome! Hope you find exactly what you are looking for.
I DD my S during the summer and I really miss driving it in the winter. As for driving in the city (stop-n-go), you may not want to DD your S if constant up & down shifting annoys you.
