Default Hello, new MY 2000 owner

First S2000 I've owned, picked it up today, now suffering waiting on insurance so that I can register. It's a 2000, one owner, black on red with 73,400 miles. The original owner had a Honda service contract so for the first half of the cars life all service was done at the dealership. The car came with original cover and tonneau and has zero mods. The car essentially sat for the last 3 years so the seller put in a new battery and replaced all fluids including radiator flush prior to putting up for sale. Exterior it's a great 10' car. Not overly concerned with the small scratches and rock chips as the car will be autocrossed frequently so I'll be smashing cones . Interior is excellent with the exception of wear and tear on the carpet on drivers side. Had been a woman owner I was told it was due to driving with heels. Top is also in great condition. Only thing I don't like is the RE960 tires which will be replaced fairly quickly. Looking forward to reading and learning and promise not to ask what's the best CAI (or is that just on the Miata forum?) I used to have a pretty highly prepped CSP Miata.

Since you're going to autocross the car I'd look at larger diameter wheels which will lower the tire profile a bit but there is a new 16" Bridgestone S007A tire just out listed as an Extreme Performance summer tire that is economically priced.

Hydraulics are in need of replacing. Good notes on a gravity method that (if done right) does not require bleeding the systems. Notes in the library.
