Hello from Oz
tldr; I'm new. Hi.
Hey everyone, long time lurker here (aside from a few random posts). I've been a Honda lover for a long time, but never had the opportunity to own one myself. My parents and grandparents, however, have owned them since I was a little kid.
I pretended I was ready to buy an S2000 a few years back, but finally came to the realization that it wouldn't be a very responsible decision since I was in college only working part time at a couple more dollars than minimum wage.
Now that I'm working full time at higher pay, the dream is becoming more of a reality.
I've got about $10k saved back, and have started the hunt for the right car to come around. Not going to just hop on the first one that I see. I really want a clean all stock NFR AP1.
It's kind of funny. I've been researching every night for a few months, reading reviews, reading build threads, and specifically hunting for bad reviews on the S200 looking for anything that might steer me away. In all that hunting I have only found more and more information that makes me want an S2000 even more
Can't wait to finally join the family! Look forward to conversing with you all!

Thanks Julie. She's not perfect, but it's going to be a "project" that my dad and I work on together. Hopefully at the same time it will serve as motivation for him to keep pushing forward on his 67 Camaro sitting in the garage.
Nice find, that's definitely my favorite color combo. If you don't mind me asking, how many miles, any mods, and how much did you pick it up for? Just curious, the pricing on these seems kind of subjective.
Well the owner originally told me 125k miles on Facebook (he was just spitballing because the car was at his wifes house in the garage). While we were on the test drive he noticed that it only had 102 almost 103k. So that was a nice little bonus of 20K miles.
It has a PRM intake, Invidia headers, Invidia exhaust (I believe N1) with test pipe, Buddy Club coilovers, J's racing strut bar and engine damper, alpine head unit and new speakers all around (don't remember the brand. I also has a shift knob which I have not identified yet. Also had a carbon fiber hood and trunk, but thats not my thing so they will be sold, if I can.
Like I said, it's not perfect, but the frame looks unmolested and the engine and trans run very smooth. It received hail at some point before this owner bought it, and that was poorly and not completely repaired. My dad runs a body shop, so at some point it will be rolled into the shop and properly repaired.
The hood and trunk were not properly fitted. Bumper has been repainted. Interior is in pretty good shape for an 11 year old car. Seats are worn, but not terrible. Carpet is OK, but I will probably replace it at some point. Age can be seen on the top and there is a 2 inch tear behind the drivers head. I'm not overly concerned about the top because I plan on mostly driving it on nice days so the top will always be down.
Probably the biggest flaw is that it appears someone bottomed it out pretty hard over a speed bump. If you look at the fender, right behind the wheel, you can see a dent on the bottom side of the fender. It's like this on both sides, and did some damage to the rockers. One fender may need to be replaced, the other can probably be repaired.
I paid $10k for it. I feel like I overpaid by $1k. I told my dad on the drive up, that I had $10k and I was probably going to spend it that day unless he talked me out of it or if there was any frame damage or engine issues. Well.. frame and engine were fine, and he didn't even try to talk me out of it.
I fell in love with the color combo right away, and knew as I walked up that I was leaving with the car that day. This list of issues sound long when typing it all out, but it's nothing really major or anything that will prevent the car from driving. I was also willing to overpay due to the color. Had it been any other color, I may have walked away for $10k.
