Default Hello from an STi owner!

Hi I just joined up on this site to learn more about S2000s. I currently own a 2005 Subaru STi and I would one day like to own an S2000 myself I've yet to drive one but simply sitting in a few, parked AP1s and AP2s was enough to pique my interest considerably. I hope to learn lots from you all.

Haha! In an ideal world. S2k would be an ideal weekend/track/date car for me.

A white AP2 would complement my white STi pretty damn well.

I'll throw my 2 cents out since I've owned both.

I started off with the an 2000 s2k. Towards the end of 2004 I decided I'd like a back seat and gobs of torque and bought a 2004 STI. It was a well made car, with a tranny that could survive a nuclear blast. It took me all of 8 months to sell it and buy another s2000 . The STI has tons of power (i was up to stage 2 when I sold it) and corners well, but it's very disconnected compared to the s2k.

I'll warn you now though, the s2k will feel pretty slugish coming from an STI. It's not that the car is slow, it just doesn't have all that torque on tap like the STI does. I used to amuse myself with the STI when people in the back seat kept leaning forward to stick their heads up between the front seats to talk by blipping the throttle and slamming them back into their spots . You aren't going to pin anyone to the seat in an S2k without some heavy mods

I also had an Evo IX MR after my 2nd s2k... I preferred my altima.

I'm now on my 3rd S2k, it's the ONLY car I've ever missed and I just can't not come back.
