welcome to s2ki
I had a 06 black sti before getting the s2k.
was gonna get a 04 z06 before seeing a s2k right next to a vette...pretty to me!
sometimes I wish I can go back and went stage 4 with the sti...
only if I didnt go half way in the water...
nothing was broken, but I traded in the car anyways.

Coming from a well rounded modded WRX I say go for the S! I absolutely love mine and have no regrets about selling my WRX. They really are completely different cars.

My friend had a 320whp WRX after he drove the S he sold it and got an AP1. He said the Subie had more power but everything else the S2K was just more fun to drive around.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah I figured that if I went over to S2k land, I'd be losing a large amount of low-end power and torque. With that said, I don't think I would be keeping my S2k n/a if I were to get one...you know, to smoothen out that transition from an STi to an S2k.

But what really sells me on the S2k is the driving position. The cockpit is driver-obsessed. As much as I love my car, the driving position is that isn't much different from a typical economy sedan. Seat sits up too high, is uncomfortable and provides little support under cornering. And I've always wanted an RWD, never owned one before and the S2k was always one the first cars to come to my mind. And of course, that screaming top end in the S2k also got me intrigued. I'm always impressed whenever I hear an S2k with an aftermarket exhaust hitting VTEC.

welcome. the sti may be a faster car and comparing specs, it may seem like a faster car. trust me, you'll love the S. it is truly more than the sum of it's parts.

I use to own a 2005 stage 2 sti and I enjoy driving my S more than the sti. But man, I do miss the torque.

Same here, only my scoobie had 268whp due to the elevation. It was faster, but the S is more fun.
