Default Help: Buying S2000

Hello everyone,

I`m new here so I want to apologise if my post is in wrong category.
I whoud like to hear all tips on buying a used S2000. Are there any specific defects that I should check before taking that car?

I hope you`ll understand what I want to know. (Sorry for my english).

Yes I`ll do so. But is there any specific stuff I should check that I can`t see at first?

Clutch, rear wheel bearings, CV joints, rear diff, valve retainers, compression, leak down, leaks from engine mounts, rear diff mounts, brakes, correct tire sizing, cracks in soft top, side window regulators, drive it around in all kinds of conditions and scan for codes.

Welcome, Funk... Yes, Xviper is right, there are many things you can do to check your car.

What year are you looking at? Pre MY04 cars used to burn oil and for those I strongly recommend compression and leak-down test at a trusted service site (that was on Xviper's list).

Yes, please read my FAQ thread, as suggested by Kerr.

Best wishes, and good luck!
