Default How to do you check an LSD?

I am inspecting an S2000 that just had its diff replaced and I"m wondering how to check that the new Diff is ok.

When the car is in the air in neutral the rear wheels spin independently. When its in gear, when on wheel moves forward the other moves back.

On my old S (puddymod diff) the even in neutral the wheel would move back when the other moves forward.

Does this mean that the new diff's LSD isn't good or is that normal?
