Default Hey, New Here. Convince me.

As the title simply says, convince me, that's what I'm looking for you guys to do.

Currently DD a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T that is modded up decently (mainly cosmetics)

I've had my eyes on a few S for awhile now but can't pull the trigger.

Begin the convincing my friends.

A car purchase is typically a pretty big purchase for someone (was the case for me) so expecting someone to convince you is expecting a lot considering we don't know much about you or your lifestyle. There are plenty of reviews on this forum, in magazines, and YouTube. Start looking doing some research, test drive a few, and find out for yourself if it'll suit your needs/desires.
I once heard, "someone looking for advice is a person looking for someone to blame when it doesn't work out" or something like that but I hope you get the idea.

Convince you?
Race car
There. You should already be on the way to the dealer at this point.

Drive one on a twisty road. If that doesn't convince you, then nothing we say will.

^ I was considering buying an S2000 when it was time for a new car. I was torn between the S2k, BRZ, and a few other choices. I really liked the BRZ when I got to drive it on a familiar road but was still questioning the potential purchase. I found an AP1 on craigslist and asked to see the car on my way home from work this past summer. The owner proposed to meet in a local area that I am very familiar with. I told myself upon going to look at it that if I got to drive a certain winding road nearby, I'd probably have to buy it. The road surrounds a reservoir and snakes through some nice woods, the perfect place to drive an S2k with the top down. The owner drove me through unprompted and then asked if I wanted to take it for a drive. Of course, I obliged with a huge grin on my face. I did not buy that particular car for multiple reasons but I did forget that I had considered any other options. I had to have the S2k.

The guy above me summed it up perfectly. Find one to test drive on a road that you know well. If that doesn't convince you, it is likely not the car for you. There are plenty of garage kept S2k's out there to buy too, do not settle for one under your standards. The best car buying advice I've gotten but still had to learn the hard way is to buy the best example that you can comfortably afford. Personally, mileage doesn't, within reason, bother me on these cars. It is all about the condition of the car and how its been treated. I wanted an AP2 for $12kish under 100k miles. After looking deeper, that seemed unreasonable for one in really good shape. I paid a little more then that and got an AP1. The car was by far the best example of an S2000 that I could find within my price range and I am very happy with the purchase.

Good luck.
