How do you know the S is a good choice?

You go to other websites like the Mx-5 Miata forum and look at what they are talking about. When the topic becomes something like "Mx-5 vs. S2000", you'll see that virtually everyone in the forum respect the S2000. There is very little negative they say about our car, even though the S is a direct competitor to their's. Same goes with the RX-8 forum.
The thing I don't understand is all the bad-mouthing from the 350Z and the Solstice forum.

I have driven both too
....no it doesn't.
I'll admit that the S2000 handles slightly better than the Z, but I would hesitate to call it a tank in comparison.
The difference in their handling is no greater than the difference in the acceleration where the Z has an edge.
should I say that the S2000 accelerates like a sloth ascending a tree?
I wouldn't because it doesn't.
in fact, here are the differences between the two as reported by motor trend:

The point I was trying to make is that these cars performance numbers are pretty damn close, in terms of acceleration and handling (slalom etc...)
In fact, the one that performs better would most likely always come down to driver skill.
I have seen the numbers put differently from different magazines as well. But most of the time it is when the are testing a z roadster, or something like that (over weight).

I think you simply have to go with the vehicle that speaks to your heart. Some people dig the VQ engine and sound. I prefer my F20.
Here are my thoughts. It was great to see Nissan bring back the Z, but it didn't represent the kind of engineering marvel that the S did back in 2000 when Honda released it. There were sooooooo many cool things about the S2000 and what it represented that it was a "must have" for me right from the start. It took me 2 years (and the sale of my Miata) to actually get mine, but I've never regretted it.
There's also an issue of exclusivity. The Z has been advertised heavily since it's re-release. The S was practically unknown outside enthusiast circles (and publications). I always thought that was cool.
Anyway, there's my $0.02. Nothing but respect here from me for the Z, but it it doesn't do it for me.

Is this guy for real?
I'm starting to sound like a broken record...stating that I do, in fact, both drive a 350z and equally love the S2000. Equal respect from me.
But this guy is basically telling us all that we have small dicks because we don't drive miatas.
Should I go get a VW Cabriolet to prove that I am hung like a horse?
