Location matters a LOT when deciding if it's a good deal. 16k otd sounded good to me, 17k doesn't seem unreasonable, but it's not a bargain.

The guy who said negotiate for 12k is dreaming. I've been watching the prices of s2ks in the seattle area for almost a year now and the only ones for 12k are salvaged titles or body damage.

I live very close to that dealership, decided to stop by last week as I am looking to buy another GPW Ap1 myself. Took it for a drive, I must say it's pretty clean GPW. Noticed it has slotted rotors. Some negative things... The rear plastic window is pretty scratched up, top is a little faded but expected on an 00'. There is one decent size scuff on the rear bumper. Cheap all season tires, I think they were "Daytonas" or something Interior is in pretty good condition, Clarion head unit with JL component speakers. Took it for a drive; handling, braking, accel was fine. Clutch seemed okay, however it DOES HAVE DECEL BUZZ. Did not hear any noises from the tranny as experienced in my 01'. Other than that, clean GPW. Wouldn't pay more than 15-16k I am looking to buy right now, but I think I'll keep looking around for better deal...

i paid 17k for my 2001 GPW with only 36k on it, with the oem lip spoiler, a few mods and such...

i think you can get a better deal from a private party
