^It seems like the only mildly intelligent thing he said in that paragraph was about the Comptech reinforced diff....

You guys are the best man... if all of life was this simple... : )

Thank you for all the input.... as an FYI, if he was at 22k or so, would you consider it or is it still too much? (Given that I would have an independent mechanic inspect the car)

Thank you again.

At 22k I'd definetely consider it. It only has 13k miles, at that price, I'd probably choose that.

I would advise you to get the newer '04 (even though I prefer AP1's ) and then add a SC when you are able to. Mods don't really hold that much value when they are kept on the car for resale instead of parting them out, and this seller seems like a real tool.

Upgrades are not investments. I will rather start with a stock car unless I can get it for a fraction of the price (perhaps 33%?)

Do you even care for all that upgrades ?

A car that has been modded a lot typically (not always, before some of the guys here jump all over me) has been run hard and ragged on, like said before. I'd go for the lightly modded/stock car before a heavily modded car. You dont mod the crap out of a car just so you can sit and admire it...unless it's a show car maybe

And I agree with all of the above..you dont add a mod to a car and then hope to get money out of it..

If you plan to mod the car anyways, I'd get it for $22k. It will always cost you more to mod it yourself.

I guess I'll play devil's advocate. It's really not that bad a deal. Stock 01 with 13k miles in very good condition will probably fetch you somewhere in the $15k to $18k range. Can I ask why people think a 04 with 23k miles hasn't been beaten to death as well? If you can get the 01 checked out and it passes inspection, I say get it. You'll spend a hell of a lot of money putting those mods in, if you plan on doing it yourself. Let's say you pay $27k, sell the HREs and you just paid $24k for a 01 with low miles and all the mods. Is that a better deal? The problem with most modded cars, is it's history and the quality of the work done. If you can have it inspected and made sure that everything works well, then it's not as bad a deal as everyone seems to suggest. That's just my opinion.

^^ That's a good point. If the price was a little lower, you could probably buy it, part a lot of that stuff out, and end up recouping a good bit of money. But it also seems like more trouble then it's worth...

Also, I didn't know a factory front spoiler, side skirts, and "duck tail" (wtf??) cost 2 grand
