Fix the squeak, buy a better audio setup, and keep the car.
Thanks, MGP. I didn't read anything too favorable about the Solstice this morning; except of course on Solstice forums!

Sounds like I would be "downgrading" anyway!

as far as the top latches rattling...mine did the same thing. i did some investigating, and found that the problem is that the latch is several pieces, two of which being a bracket on the outside of a stationary piece. apparently the outer bracket gets loose after a while and starts to rattle. well what i did was take a few small pieces of paper, fold them up, and wedge them between the two brackets to act as a damper. problem solved!! well that, and i also added the hardtop strikers, but that didn't affect the rattling, just greatly reduced the wind noise in the front. good luck, hope this helps some.

If you spend a few minutes with a few shims and silicone grease, you can eliminate 98% of the rattles and squeaks.

If the seat is all the way back, it rubs against the back of the "cabin" creating a squeeking sound and leaving some really nice marks on your backing and seat.

i guess i meant from the latches "bouncing" up and down as you go over bumps and such...does that take care of that rattling as well?
