Introduce yourself here!
Wasup yall. I live in Fredericksburg Va but was once in the Columbia MD area for a while goin to Lincoln Tech. Iv moved back in with the rents tryn to make more money to Pay for my Blue on Blue S2k and my School loans. If all else fails ima end up enlisting because the last thing ima do is sell my baby. Im big into backroads racing and interested in drift and autocrossing events because the last thing i want is this car around a tree. I have to go down the dragons tail sometime this summer tho. If anyone in the area is planning on going let me know ill see if i can get a local meet going. If been in a few forums before but never one this large so ima try to keep track of you all. Plus i just went through my first set of rear tires.

New Owner!!!
after months of obsessing i finally took the plunge and man am i glad. 2007 New Formula Red. it's a new one that just never sold. my first two-seater in many years. i'm 51 and feel like a kid again...and thats a good thing ha!!
this car is exceeding my expectations - had no idea it would be so smooth, quiet, and comfy for a car that hugs the road like glue and has an afterburner under the hood. man, how else do you describe this engine?? what a masterpiece. thanks Honda! this is too much fun.
i am keeping the tach below 5K for the break-in, book says 600 miles, but i'm gonna give it 1K just cuz im a cautious ol' fart. my biggest concern has been not to exceed my own ability to drive this puppy. i can see it will do much more than i can handle and i'm not ashamed to say it. driving this car demands respect imho and i can see where it would be tempting to get into trouble.
anywho, i'm happy to find this forum and looking forward to meeting you guys and picking up advice from your experiences. i'm a bit of a garage mech - have a Jeep and HD that i tinker with often, so i love to talk gears
cheers, Otter out

Hi all, I am a new member to the site and also recently purchased an S2000 (2nd hand). Absolutley chuffed with the car, have it about 2 months now and its joy to drive. Just like to say that this website forum has been of great help to me when it came to buying it (ie things to look out for, what to expect, daily running, etc etc) and I'd like to say well done to you all on your contributions!!
I'm a regular viewer of this forum, but ill be sure to offer my own views and experiences in the coming future. For anyone who hasn't yet experienced the S2000- DO IT!!

Hey I finally after 8 years and 4 months bought my s2000. I always wanted one since the ap1 (2000) but couldn't get it cuz I was 15 at the time. Five cars later I finally got it. I got a brand new 2007 laguna blue. I love it. I'm glad I got it. This is my third car from the same honda dealer. The managers all know me. Haha it was kind of funny. They all said watch I'll come back and get the new S2000 or whatever they are going to call it and I'm like no I don't think so since the price tag is going to be like double.
One question is the break-in period. I was told from the dealer that for the first 600 miles relax with the car and not smash. They said to keep it under 5500 rpm until after the first 600. Once the first 600 is over I can do whatever I want. That's what they told me. Is this the proper way to break it in? Thanks in advance and I'm glad to be here and learn from you all.

To all the new owners, it seems Red has become a popular color for a lot of the new members!
