Introduce yourself here!
Hi guys,
I'm picking up my '99 S2K on Friday and cannot wait...
My last car was an Eunos Roadster S-Ltd... I hadn't planned on getting the S 'til I am 25 (insurance purposes), just over two years away, but a drunken night on Ebay saw me purchase the S2K somewhat prematurely!
The Eunos was so good to drive when hacking around the back roads but the ride was terrible with super hard Bilsteins fitted.
I'm a Weapons Engineer in the Royal Navy based in Portsmouth, so have a fair bit of technical experience, and i'm looking forward to understanding how everything in the S works...
Roll on Friday!!!!!

does anyone know if you should wait for the engine to warm up before hitting the VTEC range???? Whist driving to work this morning i nailed it straight away and about 7000rpm i seemed to suddenly lose power! having said that i have only had it a week and it could have been me getting the timing of the gear change wrong and lifting off the gas a bit to quick before putting the clutch in??? thoughts anyone? Is it my crap driving?
It's normal. That would be what I refer to as the "cold rev limiter"... basically a self defense mechanism. You really should wait for it to warm up before attempting to VTEC.
Welcome to all the new folks!

All I have to say on this is RESPECT your car!!
I ALWAYS wait for the engine to warm up before I drive it, let alone before nailing it!
Hello all. Picked my 2002 Suzuka Blue yesterday.
Exterior/Interior wise the car is great but it's been neglected mechanically (e.g. rust in the clutch reservoir). Good thing I have tools and a garage to freshen her up. In fact, I can't sleep that well until I change all the fluids. How's that for anal? =)
I also have 2005 Mitsu Evo that is primary a track weapon. Fun times...

VtaK will not kick in when the engine is cold. If your car was infact warmed up, it could also be that you are low on oil....this also causes VtaK not to kick in.
