Just dropping in to say Hi.

I do not own a Honda S2K as of yet but it's definitely on my list of potential secondhand cars I'm looking into (along with a 350Z, G35 Coupe, M3, and a TSX).

So I've decided to register to forums that are dedicated to their cars respectively to get gist of the ups and downs.

I'm looking to shell out around 20-30 grand on a used car, no accidents, clean title, blah blah blah.

I have never driven a standard vehicle except for this one time on my friend's GSR Integra. But I really want my next car to be a standard so that my parents and sisters would not be able to drive it. (I think they did enough damage to the 00 TL my 'rents bought me).

So yeah, you won't see much posting out of me but I'll be lurking around to see what's up.

Just my $.02, but I would have to say forget the TSX, its more luxury then sport. Forget about a 350Z if you are thinking of the G35. They are the same car for the most part but the Infinity just adds that extra level of prestige! But as far as an S2000, I bought a near perfect '02 spa yellow with the Honda parts body kit and spoiler for under $20K about six months ago. This car is a Honda certified used with a killer warranty and had about 49K miles on it. You said that you were looking to pay $30K. Man that would leave about $10K to play with! I wish I had $10K to throw at my car!

As far as the M3, I used to own one with lots of mods and I got lots of looks and many props, but I always felt is was a little over rated. I think it was more of a name plate thing. The S2K was way more fun to drive so I sold the beemer.

Hey everybody just got my 02 S2k today. She only has 17044 miles on her. The black looks beautiful next to my 03 blue WRX. Will have pics when the weather clears up this weekend.

On April 11th I took delivery of my 2007 S2k. I first drove an s2k two years ago and fell in love with them.

My history of cars has generally been in Mazdas. For about 11 years I have driven and raced all variations of RX7s.

Some of you old school import drivers may know me, from 1998 to 2003 I owned a website called ThePartsTrader.com.

Hi all,

I purchased a used (2000) S2K two years ago this coming July and I love it. Shortly after purchasing it I was told by someone to take the cover of the air filter. I did and I loved the sound. I have been looking at K&N FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) and wanted to know if anyone had experience with it or another similar product.

Living in NJ I do not drive my s2K in the winter but I'm getting ready to take it out for it's spring cleaning and wanted to pep it up for the summer.

Any comment or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chuck

Hey guys. I'm a new member here, but not new to the Honda scene. Currently I do not own a s2k, but I will with in the next year. As of now I own a '97 Civic EX w/ b16a3 swap.

I doubt anyone actually reads this thread, but if so, here is my official "hello."
Hey, I read these things! LOL

Running with the air filter box lid removed will let it suck in alot of hot air from the motor. I have measured a 22 degree F difference. I would sugest a good Cold air intake system like the AEM or something like that. I have seen very little improvement in power using the FPIK kits from K&N, usaully get more from a full cold air!

I am new today and I have a 02 Red with black interior. Love it.

I have posted the following in the Suspension Forum, but maybe someone on this forum can help. Thanks.

Hi, am new today.

I bought a 02 recently and really love it. Now i know the feeling.
I have set it up for HPDE and also drive it on the street.
I installed an AIM intake, Axial Flow short shifter, Ensiler dual exhaust with removable dampeners, Mugen front tower brace and am running 16" TOYO T1R tires.

I am driving in group 3 and moving up to 4. I took it to the track last weekend and drove it for the first time it handled really well. The only thing I found was that the rear was sagging somewhat. A friend on the Honda race team suggested that I add coilover suspension but was not sure which one or what spring rates for the front and rear.

Any suggestions.

Also for your info I have it set up to tow on all 4 behinda truck or motor home and it tows great with no harm.
