Congrats, Doc!

Glad you made it over here.

1. You can change your status from enthusiast to owner by going to the MyS2K page (see the link at the top of this page) and editing your profile (I think you punch in your VIN or something like that).

2. As a fellow MY02 owner, be very careful watching the oil usage. I check my dipstick at every fill up. Our engines were manufactured in a way that some cars consume oil. You don't want to be caught too low.

3. Wow, 16K miles! Awesome. I've got 55+ on mine, and I'm daily driving it these days. Not that that's saying much this winter.

4. Seriously, if you *are* driving through the winter in New England *get WINTER tires*! The stock tires turn into bricks at New England temps, and that's very dangerous.

5. Check out the FAQ thread here and in S2000 Talk to come up to speed on stuff.

(any questions, just holler over in the New England forum! )

[FONT=Arial][SIZE=7]Hi another newbie here. I got my 2000s2k at an online auto auction last month. It was stolen and they stripped the sound system, tail lights, seats. throttle and cut a slit in the soft top. It's almost all back together and beautiful. I can't wait to push the start button for the first time! I'll post some photos then and hope to join up with the Portland group to do some drives this summer. Then i'll be seeing my car in the group photos!

Hi,

Just spent the last 3 hours reading through the various comments on here, and now I'm even more excited about picking up my first S2000 tomorrow lunch time. It's a 52 plate GT in Monte-Carlo Blue.

Can't wait to put my foot on the floor.

Rich.

Oh, MC blue is so nice! Congrats, Rich! Post a picture if you can. I'm not sure I've seen MC blue with hardtop!

BTW, what's a "52 plate"?

Welcome harleynita!

Hi all - Took Deliver of my S2K yesterday, this is my second one. I originaly had one from 2000 - 2003 and then changed to a CRV. This due to the fact that my wife had a Renualt Megan Cabriolet and the two cars together were totally impractical. However my wife is now driving the CRV so I am back to the S2K.

I got mine through Bob Gerard in Leicester who were very helpful, so if anyone here is looking for an S2K give them a call.
