Introduce yourself here! Part II
hi everyone,
my names phat, previously own a honda civic ek4 vti. Then went onto a mini cooper D r56 however i came to realize i prefer the honda's and i prefer cars with higher rpm's.
Dont get me wrong diesels high torque is great and pulls like a train but i just want something that will scream when i wish to do a bit or spirited driving.
therefore i am currently in search of a honda s2000 ap1 or ap2. i have seen one red s2000 atm but the mileage is my only concern since its on 145000 miles.
it would be great if anyone could advise me on what i need to look out for and what i need to check when buying an s2000.
plans after purchasing the s2k would be to get
ASM IS front bumper and lip
rear JDP carbon diffuser
vielside lip spoiler
still undecided on springs or coilovers (any recommendations would be great)
would like to get Works miester r s1 alloys however that depends on the money left over from the budget. lol

I'm overdue for joining s2ki. Hey guys! After 15 years of wanting one I finally bought my dream car. MY 2005 S2000 in Silverstone with Black/Red interior on September 20th 2015. Drove all the way down to Southern California to get it. Sticker price on it was 18.5. Had about 59,700 miles on it. Currently has 65000.
Morning all. I've joined my first forum in a long time. Also now a paid-up member of S2KUK. Looking forward to getting around the forums a little.
Anyone willing to explain how you get access to the parts for sale sections? There's a guy selling a part I'm interested in. I'm using a phone and I can't see how to gain that access. Thanks!

Hey fellow S2k enthusiasts! I picked up my 2001 Silverstone Ap1 about 2 months ago. I got it for $12k and has about 80,000 miles. I previously owned a 1990 Na Miata for about 8 months until some F-150 hit me. Now I own my dream car! I live in Texas and love the S2000 community online and when I meet other enthusiast. Hope to learn alot from yall!
Hi everyone!
I just bought my first S2000, upgrading from an 06 Corolla XRS. I test drove 4 cars with various levels of "upgrades" and settled on a Silver 2003 with 90K miles - I really prefer the older models over the ones with electronic ignition. Great car, runs perfect and a solid performer. It was by far the most "perfect" of the cars I tested, with no wear on the driver's seat or steering wheel, no poorly-done ground effects, quiet exhaust with no smell, smoothest transmission.
But I noticed on the way home that the backs of my pant legs felt cold and damp when I got out of the car. Once the car sat closed up for a while, I noticed the musty smell. You get used to it pretty quick, but it's definitely there upon getting into the car.
I called the dealer and he suggested running the car at an idle for 2 hours with the heat on full blast. I did that and the issue was not resolved. Last night I bought some Dri-z-air and carefully set it on the center console to hopefully improve the situation...
What should I do? I'd like to get the whole car detailed and get all of the carpeted surfaces steam cleaned - like the carpet in the trunk that leaves my hand feeling dirty after I rub it. Who can I trust to do the job right or not at all if it's not possible (and I should just buy new seats).
Thanks in advance!!

I would start with changing-out the cabin air filter. Check for leaks possibly from the roof and windows. If you are in a warm climate, maybe let the sun help dry it out. Consult a detailer shop for suggestions or the actual work.
What's up, everyone. My name is Tim. I just picked up my first S2000 on 11/28.
I never thought I'd own one- have mostly been into muscle-cars and European cars. But a couple of years ago, I got to drive one and I knew I had to have one. I was hooked!
An old house restoration forced me to put it on the back-burner...but now I finally have one in my garage! 2007 Sebring Silver w/ 31,000 miles.
The car seems to run & perform just fine. I know its had 2 previous owners, so I'm hoping it wasn't modified or beaten some where in its life. Regardless, before I do any mods what-so-ever, the plan is to have Billman take a look at it, do whatever he recommends having done, and give it a clean bill of health.
So, can anyone point me in the right direction as far as getting a hold of Billman? Does he have a website? Email or contact #, or is the only way of contacting him via IM on this site?
I live in Nutley NJ and work in Queens NY, so I don't think I'm too far from him...but from what I've been hearing & reading about this guy, it seems like he'd be worth going to even if I lived in Vegas!

I've been reading, reading, and reading some more here and finally got an s2000. Literally everything about this car is amazing, even the stupid little details that I normally wouldn't notice in a car. Sooo happy! Anyways, nice to meet you guys.
Hey guys!! My name is Travis, I spent 4 years in the army and just got out 2 months ago. Ive had a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, 2003 Evo 8, 2005 Subaru WRX STI, and now I have a silver 2003 S2000. I love the car. It's 100% stock at the moment but I want 700hp out of it. Any advice on making those numbers are greatly appreciated. I've been combing through the forums a bit for some info on forced induction on these things. People say they can't hold 700hp but I see that most guys making over 650 aren't having many problems. If the motor blows, I'll build it. Until then, I want all the boost. Lol
