Hi!

Purchased a 2001 New Formula Red with hardtop back in November from a racing buddy of mine. Will serve as my dedicated track time attack car. I used to race an 06' Nissan 350z and i'm looking forward to fielding a more nimbler/agile car for time attack. I still have both cars, but the 350z will be the daily/occasional track day car...

Here is what i raced with in 2015:

New to me S2000 Track car...circa 2014 before only did 1 event and was boosted to 450whp turbo. I have since pulled the turbo and brought back the old f20c to stock specs as the Ontario Time Attack Championship i will be participating in favors driver skill and handling rather than power. I may one day supercharge it but right now enjoying N/A, Vtec at 6000rpm to redline. I will be doing a full brake job, Brembo front calipers, installing my HKS single exhaust, and adding a 4 pt rollbar before start of season. Hoping i can adapt driving style to this platform as i'm very familiar with the 350z chassis.

Hey everybody

I've been looking into the S2000 for a few years now and hopefully will be able to buy one after our house is finished.
Building it myself so not able to buy one right now as i have other things to do.

Ideally i would like a black (or white) S with a hardtop, low miles, reasonably stock, 07, 08 or 09 with VSA. I have time to look for the right one so i guess that's the good news

SO for now i will be lurking a bit more

Hi all,

I am new to forums and s2000's.

I've just brought a 05 black / black red leather 43000 miles. I been looking at s2000 for about 6 months now after seeing one 15 yrs ago.

Really looking forward to getting the car into great shape and being part of the forum.

Longtime lurker and prospective buyer, just figured I would register. After researching for days this enthusiast has settled on getting an s2000 in the upcoming months. In a boring econobox now for work as I drive 45miles each way, well until I moved close. Now I only have a few more months in this car an I get something fun again. Being said if anybody has a hardtop s2k they are looking to sell pm me I'm very interested.. Boosted is a plus* ha, anyways looking forward to being a part of the community here. Cheers!

I went to a Honda dealer for a pre purchase inspection and got a read out of all the things they recommended. Please help with your thoughts. New front windshield 865.00 went to a glass shop said it was a 60.00 repair. Needed new battery not holding charge, I have not had a problem? Need new clutch master cylinder they asked about 400.00 car shifts fine after reading some posts do u think I should just bleed and replace fluid they said it had an internal leak? Needs new front strut? Anyways I didn't get scare because the car is in wonderful shape all numbers match and the paint looks great I just did a little touch up. I had to put some plastic tubing in the soft top latches to cut down wind noise and it works not sure if I need striker plates a little worried about pulling things apart to put plates on.
I recently purchased a 2003 with 92K miles and it needed a new windshield because it was hard to see through with low angle light, like headlight glare, sunrise and sunset. I got a new one installed at MS Glass for $195 plus tax. I love the new TRANSPARENT glass, and they installed it while I ate lunch. Make sure to tell them to make note of the rear view mirror placement before they do the swap.

I've done the turkey baster clutch fluid change and it worked temporary wonders for the gearbox. I recommend starting with a full bleed and then keeping on top of your clutch fluid clarity and level until you are satisfied it's not leaking. Mine was gross when I bough it, but it is clear now and the level stays full.
