Hey chaps,

My name is Jules, from Bristol (England). My bad, I've been a massive lurker of this site gathering knowledge even from before I've owned an S2K.
I've built up an EK hatch H2B but now I'm onto the S.

I bought a cheap 2000 Berlina Black which was a bit of a dog and it's now my current DD/project car.

Here's a few things I've done to it since owning it;

- super out of whack alignment (seized bolts), so I cut out some bolts using an angle grinder and a reciprocating saw and put in Hardrace toe arms. - - After alignment that significantly reduced bump steer I was experiencing.
- I replaced the brake discs and pads all round and rebuilt the front calipers as they are seized.
- Did a valve clearance and checked the retainer condition and all valves were good.

- Now I'm currently in the process of replacing the gearbox. I thought the throw out bearing failed on me and the gearbox was a bit leaky so I bought a new clutch kit and a lightweight Competition Clutch flywheel. Turns out the gearbox itself was the culprit so I've got a F20C2 box ready to go in.

What a ball ache the Tranny swap is!! and that bottom starter bolt!!! Jeez.

I've also had a go at upgrading my oil jet bolts, turns out they are already the newer version but considering the age and condition of my car i wouldn't be surprised if the engine was blown up and replaced with a newer one.
I stripped the oil jet bolt hole thread but repaired it with a helicoil. I'll make a very short post of this in an appropriate location on this site just to kind of confirm its a legit method of repair and works fine.

Hi y'all, I am new to the site and new to my s2k. This has been a dream car for me for some time, yet never had the opportunity to pick one up. After joining a VW club here in atlanta I started to learn more about cars and alternative methods to buying besides carfax haha. Anyways, I decided that I needed a fun daily that picked up my spirits now that my beetle has become a project and I was stuck in a jeep grand cherokee living the auto life and being awfully bored. I like a car that sticks to the road more in the curves! Started looking a few months back and purchased a beautiful 2001 berlina black, hardtop, 140k, Invidia exhaust (silenccers are out now!), and I couldn't be more happy. I drove a few duds before driving up to nashville for this one and am very glad we made the trip. Bought the car the next day and have had it for a week and a half. I am smiling no matter where I drive and can't wait to get a few things done to it.

Nice to meet everyone,

Dahlia

Well I am finally ready to start getting on here more, even though I joined up last year I have just lurked and not participated much. I am deciding now though to reintroduce myself. I have an extremely clean, well maintained, 2003 S with plenty of mods. Purchased it off of a friend that actually is on here as well, but am looking to make the car my own and figured this is the best resource possible. Here are a few pics, I think I'll start browsing around now!

Hi Everyone!

I'm a longtime S2000 owner, and I've visited this site many times in the past.

I saved my money for a long time in preparation for the purchase of my first true sports car. Upon test driving one, I knew it had to be an S2000. This coincided with the release of the 2006 S with its many changes.

For me, a 2006 it was! But, I couldn't afford a new one.

After patiently searching for months, I found and bought my 2006 Sebring Silver S in May '07 from its original owner.

I later purchased a matching Honda hardtop for it.

It's lived a pampered life, is totally stock, and has 24,xxx miles on the clock.

I'm going to be offering the vehicle for sale in the coming weeks.

I'm new to S2k scene. I've purchased a 2001 S2000 for competition in EP SCCA Road racing. I bought it as living in India for the time being and having an HP triumph spitfire which needs a lot of time commitment this seemed like a good step.

I'll start to figure this car out shortly. So far I've been to Road America, Grattan and mid-Ohio in the car.

First Time out in the car at Mid-Ohio, did a 1.38.5
Grattan after a couple problems got down to a 1.26.2
RA I only got one dry session and only got down to a 2.39.2

So far i Love the car and have a ton of work to do!

Bought a 2007 S2000 yesterday and drove 170 miles each way. Driving it is a hoot especially at high rpm. The gent I bought it from was afraid I couldn't bend to get in it since I'm 67 years old. It is in near mint condition though the mileage is 65,000.
Never haven driven one before I quickly became concerned about speed bumps and steep driveways.
May look into K&N cold air intake and then leave it alone. turbo or supercharging has crossed my mind. It would be a beast I'm sure.
Now fellows how do I post a photo?

Hey guys!

New to the forum so this is my first post!

Bought my 2002 Honda S2000 back in April as a birthday present to myself for my 23rd...when I was in high school my friend had an ap2 and as soon as I saw it in person I liked it..then I drove it, WOW it was set in stone haha I told him I will own one in the future.

I bought mine with 67k miles, stock motor..koni yellow/ground control setup, ap2 bumpers, Authentic BBS LM wheels, rear flares,cr radio cover and knob, clear side markers, and it was plasti-dipped flat black

Peeled the dip and found out it was a beautiful Nfr s2000! I almost shed a tear haha

Anyways it's my daily driver for now since I live in Texas and AC is a must...and daily-ing my B series turbo '94 civic hatch that's on e85 was getting annoying putting fuel every couple days since it's hard to drive it the speed limit haha but now the miles are going up on the s2 and I kinda want another daily haha but who knows

Since I don't know how to put pictures on here through my phone if anybody is curious to what I've done so far or whatever my instagram is greg_s2kk and I do follow back

Hey everyone,

My name's Caleb, I'm new to the forum, I'm 19 and I just bought a salvaged titled 2001 s2k mid June and got it on the road late August. Salvage title is for unknown mileage which sucks but it still runs strong. When I bought it I had to replace the clutch and top, which was an absolute nightmare. But so far, I'm absolutely loving it. I use it as my daily so I don't know what I'm gonna do this winter haha cause I live in south jersey. But I've got big plans for it which include:
  • Ap2 front and back bumper conversion
  • Invidia N1 Exhaust
  • Bright White Vylnl Wrap
  • Bride low max seats
  • New Carpet (btw anyone know where I can get a new one? cause this one is torn bad)
  • New center console
  • New weatherstripping on almost everything
  • Turbo set up, maybe twins
  • Then finally a wide body set up of some sort
The builds gonna take some time and I plan to keep everyone posted on the progress of the build, which may stay soon if this guy buys my old car tomorrow so that I can buy the bumpers.

Just wanted to introduce my self though everyone, wish me luck
