Good afternoon guys, today I decided to finally make an account on S2KI. Introducing myself, I am located in Sarasota, FL with my 2001 NFR. My car instagram can be found @ honduhs2k. I am currently rebuilding the engine after a highway mishap leaving my cylinder walls scarred. My interests in the car community is car film and photography, but wanting to attend AutoX and track day events.

I have never posted in, nor joined any forum before, ever, so I figure it makes the most sense that I join up and post here as a non-s2k owner, right?
I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Andy and I attended RTD Spring 2017 as @W00D 's passenger/ co-pilot/ navigator. I had a blast and vowed to return. So this year I am, but I'll be an impostor, driving my newly acquired Miata. Its my second Miata. My other one is a 1990 that is a dedicated autocross/track toy. Once they knew I was shopping, try as my s2k friends may, I could not be swayed to the dark side. I looked around for one, but finding a clean s2k in my area is not an easy (or inexpensive) task. So anyway, I will be rocking the Dragon (very soon!) in my 2013 pearl white Miata Club (hence my oh-so clever handle) with its big, dumb, happy face chasing you all down Ok, that's it. Carry on. See some of you in a few weeks!

Gorgeous color on that car. I was in the same boat as many of you a few years ago when I bought my first NFR 2004 AP2. Had to sell it due to financial reasons and despaired at the fact that I may never have a chance to own one of my favorite cars ever again. Low and behold on Christmas week of 2018 I went home with a 2005 Suzuka Blue AP2.

These cars have been dreams of mine every since they came out while I was in high school. For me to actually own them now I feel blessed.

 

Hi my names Paul and I'm an S2000 addict, I joined this group as I thought it could help me with my addiction

I've previously owned a blue S2000 (AP1) a few years back, it cost me the great sum of £4200 back then. It was a bit of a dog with the ripped rear window and a damaged roof but I replaced the roof with brand new one. Also had all the rust removed and the car undersealed. Unfortunatley not long after I had to sell it for £3200 due to moving home and the costs involved, regretted selling it ever since.

With saving up I finally bought another AP1 in the same colour and I've had her since Sept 2018. I didn't think I'd afford one again because of the prices going up so much.

As regards the new S2k it's having a few things done but will hopefully be a quicker project than the previous one.

Can anyone suggest a dual cat-back exhaust that will make the S2k sound more grumbly but not drone? from reading the posts the Skunk2 seems a nice option.

Also how do you guys rate the magnetic sump plugs off Ebay for £5?

 

Hi my names Ken and I just purchased my first S2K after spending the last year with the miata bug.I recently went on TURO and I found a 07 AP2 which got me hooked. I searched BAT initially but it seems that the premium prices and fierce bidding is the norm on low mileage AP1's and AP2's, so I have been on craigs's list daily and finally found a low mileage 02 AP1





garage queen which had an immaculate chassis as well. I also test drove the mazda miata ND1 and ND2 which didn't provide much of a visceral experience. I would really like to connect with fellow owners from the Olympia WA area.Thanks again!
