Hey y'all, picked up a 2002 red AP1 this summer and couldn't be happier. 85k miles, bone stock, no rust. Came from a 2022 BRZ but decided to trade for an s2000 as it was always my dream car and they aren't getting any cheaper. Looking forward to contributing to the community!
It doesn’t have the normal cloth seats or the matching door panels. It has the brown leather interior and matching carpet. Looking around I’m guessing it was an option?
The Type S was manufactured from late 07 onwards (although it was classified as an 08/09 MY car).
Various trim options were available dependant on the car colour specified. All base and Premium colours were available except Bermuda(Laguna) blue. (The colour Apex Blue Pearl was only available on a Type S).
Hello everyone, new to these forums but not to fun Honda cars. Used to be active on NSXPrime, username NSXRebel over there, back when I had a 93. Unfortunately I wrecked it while I was still in the military in the middle of a move and never really actively searched for a replacement. Had I known they were gonna appreciate in value, I would have been more proactive in getting another one, but here we are, 2025, and no way am I paying close to $100K for any car. So I'm going with Honda's next best thing, the S2000. I suppose I would prefer an AP2, but more importantly, I want one in white, but as I have found out, Honda didn't make many S2000's in white for whatever reason. As of right now, I have found an AP1 with 80K miles, for good price. Test drove it, runs great, and is very well kept. I also found an 2006 with 100K miles for $20K but when i went to look at it, it looks pretty rough, lots of scratched paint all over the body, but even worse, lots of little dents everywhere. First mods I want to do is get Honda's anniversary front bumper and then get it wrapped in white. Other than that, i plan on keeping how it is now. Just waiting on word from my bank so I can go pick it up.
Hello S2KI,
I am new to the forums, but am excited to be apart of this amazing community. I have been looking for the past 2 years. I have grown up with Honda as a household brand and have loved anything they make with an engine. I am excited to learn a lot and hope it will help me with my ownership when I get one. It's great to be here!
Hey all! Just picked up a red AP2 this week. I have a 2024 manual Supra as well which is fast, modern and I do love it dearly. However I wanted something that gave me engagement and felt like the cars I had in my younger years (240sx and Evo 8) and an S2K was a car I always wanted to own. Needs some maintenance and love but it's been great to drive already, modern cars just don't have this kinda feel. I've been lurking on here getting information and searching threads but excited to join the community!
Hi there, I've had my S2000 since March 2023 and have enjoyed it ever since! I figured it would be fun to finally introduce my car to this amazing forum.
Specs:
07' GPW with red/black interior
Located in Socal
Slightly modified
82k miles (purchased with 73k)
I have a set of Ohlins I'm installing this week, and I'm adding other small bits and pieces here and there. I'm also keeping up with refreshing every tired piece on the car as they pop up.
I've added a set of Desmond Evobrites, an ASM wheel boss, a Mugen Gen III Steering wheel, and an NSX-style shift knob.
Looking for an OEM hardtop in the near future and a change in wheels sometime down the timeline.
