Hey everyone,
I’ve owned my 2002 S2000 for about 6 years now and have been a member of the forum for 5 — just never got around to posting until now. The car’s mostly stock with a few small upgrades, and it’s been a blast to own. Figured it was finally time to jump in and say hello. Appreciate all the knowledge shared here — it’s helped a lot over the years!
Hello everyone, new here, but not to Hondas. I've owned nothing but Hondas all my life with the exception of a 2013 Mini Cooper S. Everything from my first car, an 84 CRX, 89 CRX Si, 00 Civic HB, 03 CBR 600RR, 06 Ridgeline, 11 Pilot , to 93 NSX. No way can I afford an NSX now, so went with Honda's next best thing. Just picked up an 02 S2000 in Silver, mostly stock. I really wanted a white one but they're so hard to find, i figured I could get it wrapped eventually. First thing I did when I got home was run to Walmart and pick up PowerAcoustik's CP-71W, because I gotta have CarPlay, but most importantly, gotta have great music that you won't find on the radio. Gonna keep it mostly stock/as is and fix some worn items like engine mounts
Welcome! Loved my 90 CRX when I was younger and waited too long for the NSX or I should say didn't make enough money for one until they were through the roof. But man do I love my S2000.
Welcome @S2KRebel! . Like you, I also got started with a Honda — a Z50 MiniTrail. That was around ‘70 or ‘71. I’ve also owned a CRX Si (an ‘87 model) as well as various other Honda cars and motorcycles over the years. I’m very fond of the original NSX but those cars lack one of my favorite aspects of the S2000, which is the ability to drop the top. I don’t know if it has anything to do with me growing up with motorcycles, but I’ve always had a thing for convertibles and roadsters in particular. Ironically, even though music is a big part of my life, I have yet to use the stereo in my S during my eight years with the car (perhaps another carryover from my time spent on two wheels). I hope that you enjoy your S2000 and your time on this forum!

Even when I was riding motorcycles, I still had music to listen to through our helmets.
For me, whether it be a convertible or a bike, no music. I like the sound of the vehicle and the wind I have only used the radio in the s2k back when I did commute a bit in traffic with it and had lots of sitting still time, but even then found I rarely used it. Im actually just pulling it out to reduce weight for TT stuff now. In my other cars, I like loud music, just not in the s2000.
