Introduce yourself here! Part II
Haha, Yes I know many others do as well. Though I’ve never listened to music when riding a bike, I actually did listen to a lot of music in my cars when I was younger. Like @engifineer , when it comes to my S2000 and motorcycle I simply enjoy listening to the noises made by the vehicles themselves and the environment surrounding me. I suppose that it helps me to clear my mind. Others seem to find these cars too noisy for their liking but I’ve never been bothered by this (perhaps because I’m not also trying to listen to music). The thing is, I tend to be pretty picky when it comes to listening to music. I’ve spent more money than I care to admit on home hifi equipment over the years. And my LPs and CDs are likely worth more than my S2000 at this point. In my case it’s probably for the best that my love for music didn’t carry over to my time spent out on the road.
Yep, that is a good way to put it. When going down the highway in the wind, it is like being in a little world of my own sound wise
I quite enjoy it, even more than listening to music, and I love music. I also dont find it noisy either. Hell even when I am lazy and dont put the mufflers back on it after a track day, at highway speeds it is mostly just wind noise and the hum of the motor. I cant imagine how loud I would have to have music to actually think it sounds good with the top down on the hwy, so just better to not have it IMO
I was about to ask if you were autocrossing
I spent about 6 years hitting around 9 - 12 events per year in mine. I still make some autocross events but with the track budget, that kinda eats up time and money for autocross lately, but I still love doing it. Sometimes when I am working on specific skillsets on track I realize I need to get back on an autocross course and fine tune some things
