Introduce yourself here! Part II
Hi All thought i would introduce myself as i have just brought an 05 S2000 in Silverstone silver wih red/Black Leather. all i can say is i fooking love it! by a stretch the most fun car i have ever owned :0).
im live in the cambridgeshire area and am definately up for meets in and around the area.
there are a few minor things with the car that i would like to get sorted, the state of the wheels being the first thing as they look like the previous owner used every kerb to help him corner. also nee to get a second Key and Fob as he only had 1 . spoke with my local Honda Dealer and they wanted over 300 notes for a new key and fob. anyway when i can figure out how to post a pic i will get one up
looking forward to meeting some of you guys
Paul
hope this works

Just picked up my first S2K. 2002 Suzuka blue with blue interior. Been driving Miata's for years and finally decided to give Honda's Roadster a try. I love it! Got it 2 weeks ago and already tore it apart, inspected the head, and adjusted the valves. Runs almost as good as my Mazdaspeed, LOL. Will keep in touch..

Greetings!
On tuesday I traded in my 2008 civic si white with navi and purchased a 2000 honda s2000 red with 96000 miles (they of course gave me some money as well). I absolutely love it but it does have some character flaws that I will need to work on. I have been lurking in the forums a bit and reading and it seems like most of the little problems that I am noticing someone else has had and resolved but before I get too crazy with this car is there anything in particular that I should look out for or check out or have checked out so that I am safe and reliable?
Thanks!

Welcome!
For a 2000 model, I suggest inspecting the valve spring retainers for cracks and re-torquing the rear axle nuts to 220 lb/ft. Also, check the engine oil level frequently, like at least every 1,000 miles if not more often. Stay away from Mobil1 synthetic if at all possible. Might consider cleaning or replacing the PCV valve as well. Don't skip gears. Don't skimp on tires.

Hello everyone! Im a new owner of a 2005 AP2 Silverstone with the Red/Black Interior with only 28,000 miles, it will be my DAILY driver. I just sold my 1998 Prelude SH Green Ecalyptus Pearl with a 176,000 original miles. Sold for $6,000! I am looking forward to the S2K world. Complete different beast next to the Prelude. I still strongly believe that the Prelude and the S2000 are the best 2 Hondas ever built! Well besides the NSX!
Hi from Houston, TX. I picked up my '01 Spa Yellow AP1 back in February. I've wanted this car since I graduated high school 10 years ago! After driving it consistently the past few months, I can see that all the hype I bestowed upon the car wasn't for nought. It is an absolute blast to drive, a pure driver's car! Well, I look forward to picking up more knowledge about this great car, and hopefully making a few buddies along the way. Thanks and take care.
