Just bought a S2000 in need of TLC
Hello
I hope ive done the right thing?
a friends wife wanted a bigger car,she has owned the Honda since 2008, my mate asked me if I wanted to buy it, ive never really had much to do with these cars so I googled, found this forum and went on every car site review and I was surprised at the following they have and nearly all the car reviewers gave them 5 stars.
I went to see the car its in poorish condition with rust around the n/s rear arch, few bubbles on the side skirt joints the roof has splits and gashes here and there, one rear light has condensation in it.
I was not really keen on buying it UNTIL I drove it, it was amazing, quick, planted and fun. No mechanical problems what so ever.
I am 6'2" and I still fitted snug .
The car is Silverstone with 2 tone red and black interior, 85000 miles with service history and bills.
I am looking for a replacement roof, a fitter near me will fit a replacement roof if I supply but insisted on one company to use as he had fitted many soft tops and this company is the best, the company he recommended to buy the soft top is called BAS International www.car-hood.co.uk/
they can supply one for £550 delivered anyone heard of this company?
Then I need to address the corrosion around the arch and side skirt joints.
After driving it I bought it but I had a good deal, my friends other half had a 2005 Peugeot diesel estate off me and a little cash
Hope ive done the right thing
Any feedback will be appreciated
Thanks Mark

I personally haven't heard of that brand of top. But, I have heard quite a bit of good things about the "robbins" top.
as far as the tailight goes, is there a small pool of water you notice or just condensation. A blow dryer should be able to take care of the condensation.
anyways congrats

thanks for reply, it is just water droplets condensation behind the plastic, no pool or standing water, I will try the blow dryer.
The S is coming on nicely now.
Had the paint done, polished the body and cleaned the interior. New grooved discs and pads ordered as she wobbles under hardish braking. Looking for a set of tryes as these are mis matched and she sways under speed.
Roof is being fitted at the moment but here is a couple of pics to show how she is coming along, i knew there was a car there somewhere when i bought the sorry looking thing.
