Congrats on the new car.

Take it in to Honda and they should work on it without a problem.

If the clutch is truly slipping due to wear/use then no it wouldn't be covered under warranty, however it may not be slipping in the traditional sense. Starting in 2004 (AP2's) and up the S2000's got a clutch delay valve installed in them. It will automatically slip the clutch on high rpm shifts (or launches) in order to reduce drive-train shock. First time s2k (or performance car) drivers might not notice, but people who have driven them without it notice it right away. Try to compare it to another AP2 (2004+ s2k) and see if its truly slipping due to a worn clutch or the effect of the valve you are feeling. I know mine "slips" on high rpm's, the revs just don't fall as fast as you would think they should but after comparing it to another ap2 and letting an experianced honda tech check it out, he says its normal for an ap2.

Enjoy the car! Might be best to change the oil, tranny, diff fluids if you don't have a maintenance history on the car. My pre-ownership inspection was not that great at all but God blessed me with an awesome car. Honda makes a good product as long as its not abused and is maintained. Make sure you use the right fluids, use this site as a tool it has LOTS of good info. Consider joining as a member if it helps you.

yeah, but im sure the fluids are ok on the car, besides the oil maybe. since it only has 20,000 miles, diff and tranny fluid should be good

Change all the fluids, including particularly the hydraulic clutch fluid (in your case) and then you'll see.

The clutch delay valve could be what you're experiencing if you're doing clutch dumps, but you shouldn't really notice the thing in normal driving.
