Just wanted to say hi. I've been lurking for quite some time now. I just never joined because I'm trying to sell/trade my Infiniti M35 sport sedan so that I can buy an s2000. Always wanted one, test drove one an ap1 last year and loved it. Definitely need to test out an ap2 as well. I just want to get back into driving manual again and definitely do some track time occasionally. The drivability of the s2000 is what appeals to me. I'm not really a convertible guy because it's way too hot in Florida but I know that I'll enjoy it at night. There is always the hardtop option as well.

Also, if anyone in Florida is looking for a luxury full size sedan or knows of someone who might be interested in looking for one, then send them my way so they can take a look at my M35. I don't mean to plug this, but once I have the cash I can buy an s2000. Hopefully I'll be in an s2000 real soon.

 

I don't know where you are in FL but you missed a crazy deal, a guy near Daytona Beach just sold his son's s2000 for $2,850 because his son passed away and he wanted to get rid of the car, the car was in great condition

 

I'm sorry for his loss. I would have definitely have picked that up. I'm in Central Florida so daytona is not far. Did he post an ad on here?

 

No, it was on craigslist but it was gone in about 2 hours. I'm located in Daytona right now and I'll keep an eye out if I see anything. I know there is one up in St. Augustine, it's yellow and has I believe 2,000 miles on it.

 

Yeah I saw that on ebay. I appreciate your help in being on the lookout. I saw 2 today (silverstone and rio) on my drive and it just reaffirmed the fact that I want one. I was in the process of thinking maybe I should just keep my M35 and then saw them on the road and threw that idea out the window. Once I sell my car I'll have no problem buying one.

 

I just flew from NY to grab a MINTY 03 GPW with hardtop from Tampa bay, keep your eyes open the good ones dont last long thats for sure.

 

I am located in CFL also. There are a bunch of decent looking s2000s being sold throughout FL, just keep looking. I don't suggest going to Space Coast Honda, ever.

Edit: Also, I have not driven my car with the top up since it has been purchased (about a month ago). Weather is perfect, especially if you are closer to the beachside areas.

 

Yeah I saw that one as well. If my car was sold and I had the cash I definitely would have bought it. Hope you had a good time driving it back!
