Default Lookin for help with a possible s2k purchase

Hi just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. Im in the process of buyin a yellow 02 S right now, the car has dual magnaflow mufflers welded to the stock piping, an AEM intake, 17" konig rims with 245's all around and Im 99% sure it has a short throw.
Ive owned a 06 evo9, and a 450hp SRT-4 and hands down s2000 is the funnest car ive ever driven in my life. Im in love with this car

I know this is along shot but the car is in Tucson AZ and was traded in on a Saturn Skye, and just wonderin if this car or situation of someone trading in the S for a Saturn rings a bell to anyone. I just dont wanna buy a car that someone totally trashed for 4 or so years.

Thanks and hopefully will be posting here more.

Justin

That's definitely be a long shot to find the original owner, is it low mileage?

Have you driven another S or a stock one to know what it feels like? As with a short shifter, the stock throw is already pretty short, I can't imagine it getting shorter.

Sounds stock man, you'd be surprised. And the bag drops on all of them that I've seen personally. Did you run carfax on it to see if anything major is on it?

Hopefully it was one owner who took it to 50k. Shouldn't be anything major... maybe the infamous "clutch buzz" TSB.. when you drive it... on decel between 3-4k sometimes there is a buzz or rattle to it. But its pretty normal unless its ridiculously loud.

Try posting in the Arizona forum, that would be your best bet on finding someone that knows the car. Are you sure it has 245s all around? That's ok in back but way wide for the fronts, most people run 215s or 225s.
