The nose is nothing to worry about, same with the oil - 7500 miles between services and even if its 1k late, not an issue.

The tires, however, must all be replaced. Not only are they a different rubber compound, which is dangerous because there are different handling limits now, they are the wrong size and that will really make the car unstable - in fact dangerous to drive imo.

Deduct $1k for new tires and buy the car. If the rears are in good condition, maybe you can sell them later.

Also, make sure the car is insured by you before you drive away with it!

Oh yeah, my GPW b&t came from Hilton Head too!

Sounds like you have a nice car there Just make sure you check the oil every 2 weeks or so (I hear the ap1's have a tendency to burn oil)

Got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just drove it home last night. It's awsome! I'm taking it in for a service to get the oil and diff fluid changed. I've got some Avon Tech M-500s on order from tire rack. 245/45/R-16 and 205/55/R16s. The car pulls a bit on hard acceleration, but I should be able to get that fixed with the new tires and an alignment. Insurance is taken care of. I used Esurance and got a policy right away. I can't wait to drive home!

22k. I might have been able to bargain for a bit more, but it was hard to pass up a car this good in the exact color I wanted. White and Tan is the best color to have when you live in a part of the world where the Humidity is 98% and Summer temps average 98 degrees

Color is very important. If you love the car, grab it.

If you're happy, price is not so important!

Part of this depends on how long you expect to keep your car. Some folks are awfully fickle and won't keep a car more than a couple of years regardless. In that case, maybe, price is the important factor.

For S2000 lovers, though, I wouldn't compromise. This car is a gem. You won't want to part with it.

I paid 22k out the door and never looked back. I want to keep this car forever. I dreamed up what I thought the ideal sports car should be back when I was 12, and Honda finnaly made it when I was 20. Now I finnally have one in great condition with the exact color combo I want.
Oddly enough, I went by a local dealer to pick up a new air filter yesterday (my first diy maintinance) and in the center of the pre owned lot was a 02-03 GPW w/tan, but this one had ugly chrome stuff on the wheels. As I was pulling out, I stopped to look at it and a saleswoman approahed. I told her, "I'd want to by it if I didn't already have it." She asked me if I liked my car. I told her I loved it, and I don't want to drive anything else. I really can't think of a way to make a better driver's car than this.
When I got back to house, I pulled in next to an older couple getting out of a second gen. MR2-Turbo (another awsome 2 seat sports car). I told them I really liked their ride. The guy driving said he loved his car and was never getting rid of it. He told me to do the same. No arguements there.
