I currently drive a 2000 BMW E39 M5. Yes, 400HP and 350ft. lb has really spoiled me. However, I prefer to autox more and am really held back by a car that big and heavy. I've decided that it's time to let it go and go for something light and nimble.

I've considered E36 M3's, Miata's and finally, the S2000.

I plan to run with SCCA mostly. I will be in B stock and run in RTR. What type of setup should I have to be locally competitive? What things usually go wrong with a S2000 that I need to address before I autox?
