Looking but Convinced
Currently have a 1994 Miata but looking to upgrade.
I am mature and have owned Honda cars and bikes since the 60's [maybe 30 ?]
I live in Canada in the snow belt so the S2000 will be strictly a summer fun car, on the road maybe 6 months of the year.
Looking at a couple in the next few days and could use some advice. Want stock, 100k miles MAX.
I have been reading FAQs on the site but they seem very technical. I want a basic primer of what to look for and what to avoid.
Any help is appreciated
TIA
Bobb

There Is a primer on here somewhere on what to look for
That said, s2000s are highly developed sports cars right out of the box and robustly built so IMHO so all you have to watch out for is signs of a abuse or neglect
My feeling is that mods are not necessary improvements but instead are just self expression, I would avoid a modded car if possible.

Stock and 100k miles max... sounds like you're off to a good start.
Any particular model year(s) you're looking at? This might be a good place to start reading: What to look for when buying a used S2000. The amount of information may seem a little overwhelming but it's very valuable info and well worth the read. Welcome and good luck with your search.
