looking at a local 00 Silverstone.
Ok so i'm looking at selling my CL Type-S and going for an S2000. I'm a young guy (22), and dont have THAT much money to spend. but nonetheless i'm after an s.
Today I went and looked at the only local used S2000 i'm aware of. I live in Victoria BC Canada, no snow here, and it's on an island where people drive like turtles. Cars' here usually sell for a little more then the rest of canada.
The car I looked at today was an 00 Silverstone S, bone stock, in perfect condition (not even a door ding, or any curb rash) with 39,000kms (about 25,000 miles). One owner car, local car. The dealer is asking 29,900 Canadian. which to me seems a little high for an 00. but as i said, the car is mint. That said i dont mind going down to the US (washington state, california, or nevada would be perfect, they're close by) to get an S2000.
I'm going back for a test drive tomorrow. what should i look out for? I know the trannies can be problematic, anything else I should be looking for. What do you guys think of the price? This car is at a small dealership, and he bought it from a mercedes dealer that took it in as a trade.
I would prefer a black one with the red/black interior. and maybe an 02 with the glass rear window. but other then that this is a nice S for me. Suggestions? Thoughts?
