Lurker
HI all. I've been a long time lurker. I've finally decided to make it official. Out of all the cars I've owned, the s2000 is just a one of a kind fine automobile. I've owned 3 s2000 in the past. The third being my current.
The first s2000 was a 06 gpw with red/black interior. I've purchased that car used with 60k is miles. Sold it less than a year after because I found out it was a salvaged car but clear title. The owner never reported it to car fax. There was hidden rust where the damage was done. Rear pass wheel was bent in. The car was a mess.
After a few cars later, I purchased a 04 silver s2000 with 134k miles. It previously had a oem Color respray and looked flawless. Soft top was just replaced. The car drove great.the black seats were skinned and replaced with a red oem like skin. It looked great. I sold that car thinking I needed a bigger vehicle. It was a decision I made regrettedly. With the new 4 door, first auto I've owned, it was just to big and I never felt connected with the car. Every day I always would be on the net looking for a new s2000. It was a car I knew I needed to get back in. It just a car I felt really connected to drive in. A car I think is just made for me.
Finally I found a clean example. It was another 04 silver s2000. I was looking for a black 06+ ap2 this time, but I guess it's destiny that led me to another 04 silver. My favorite, red/black interior, red carpet, like new condition. Finally owning my first s2000 that was unmolested. This car has an amazingly low 20k miles. Of all the cars I've owned in the past, everyone has coil overs and a nice drop. Im not a fan of wheel gap. But after driving this s2000 with its original suspension. I'm thinking I'm leaving this one alone and enjoying the way it's made to handle. It drives so perfect stock that it really just amazes me. I don't have to worry about speed bumps or scraping finally. As of mods for this car, Ive really been wanting a oem cr lip. And probably change out the stock deck/speakers for a nice aftermarket unit. Mybe a k&n intake. New sticky tires. That's it. Im gonna enjoy a stock car for once lol. This s2000 is definitely a keeper.
The s2ki online community has a wealth of information that I've used in the past to do maintenance on my previous s2000. This community is my favorite of all other car community. It's mobile layout is easy to read, the font is just right. All topics are nicely in great order. Overall a easy to use forum. Well this is enough for right now. I'm happy to finally join. Thanks all.
