Default Might be picking up an AP1 soon

Yeah, so i'm looking for a new car to play with, and my buddy has been talking me into s2k's. The more i read, the more i like lol. I'd like to get a non-molested one and start from scratch on it, but tomorrow i'll be looking at a FI AP1 with a super charger. We'll see how it goes.

I just got into cars like a year and half ago, and now i'm fully addicted. My car right now is a mazdaspeed6 and i pretty much just finished it up a week ago. It's entirely turbo limited at this point (0.82 a/r hotside gt3071), but fitting a bigger turbo is gonna force me to tweak my exh mani, down pipe, and dump tube, and i kinda don't feel like doing it all over again lol. Plus i'm putting down some damn decent #'s for what the car is and i don't want to start dealing with axles and trans issues on this car. I do have a spare forged motor on standby, but IMO the motors aren't the weak link on those cars. We'll see though... now that i just jinxed myself.

Here's my thread on my latest hardware endeavor:

My latest dyno about a week ago dialing in the hardware. The torque is absolutely ridiculous:

I've learned alot from that platform, cause the aftermarket is very limited and in order to go bigger like i did, you have to do it full custom. So i can only imagine how much fun it'd be with a car that's 1000lbs lighter with 2k more rpm and a great aftermarket

I'll be in the same boat as you and I were personally forgo the FI one for a stock or close to stock S, just so you can build it up.

Thanks! and i agree, i'd much prefer to start from scratch, but honestly if i find one with decent compression, even if it was boosted, i'd prob just buy it, haha.

Ended up not having time this last weekend to check out the SC'd one. Maybe this week.
