My first Honda
Hello everbody, and greetings from Romania, Europe!
As the title says, I've just bought my first ever Honda, namely one of my dream cars - an S2000. I've come to this decision due to spending pretty much track time with my current car, a BMW 335i which I've modified accordingly to be effective on the track, while trying to keep it daily-drivable. As most of you know, this is a compromise which is rather impossible to reach entirely, as a capable track car won't be good on the road, and vice-versa. More so, a 3700 lbs premium car. Although I have invested quite a lot in the BMW, I've never wanted to go past that point of no return in terms of modifications, as reselling it would have become impossible, while it would have never been a good track car due to its high weight, despite the great power (306 bhp).
Therefore, I started thinking about getting a dedicated, 2nd car for my Ayrton Senna wannabe days, and after doing a lot of thinking and comparing tens of cars, I've made my mind for an AP1 S2000, taking this opportunity to fulfil one of my dreams, car-wise. I've found a pretty decent MY2000 Silverstone (I think), which I'm currently waiting to be delivered from Germany. It's supposed to arrive this week, so it turns out it will make an awesome Christmas present.
I have big plans for the car, but I'm going to approach the build progressively by starting with a complete change of fluids, bushings, brake pads etc, to make sure I have a solid base to start from. I will be bugging you guys with a lot of questions in this process, as I know I can rely on your extensive experience with these cars. Wish me luck.
I'll see you around,
Alex.
PS: here's a picture of the car, while still at the German dealership (haven't seen it in person yet)

All my track time has been in my old 911 but my experience tells me that my first track upgrade for my s2000 would be in the brakes as they definitely are weaker than the Porsche's.
I'm sure there is a lot of good brake upgrade info here
