Traction control is a plus.
Highly skilled race car drivers can get a bit more performance sometimes without it as they can let the car slide around a bit. My 2006 car has traction control so when I want to play at boy racer and let the rear end slide out I have to go thru a highly involved, time consuming, technical procedure to turn the traction control off. I press the button on the dash.

Can agree traction control is a plus. Especially in the rain. Living in CA i get the advantage of being able to drive my car year around. However being in NorCal means it gets a bit wet up here every now and then. Was up in Sac area this weekend and i took an exit off the freeway a bit too quickly. Ended up drifting the turn onto the main road. Luckily i watch enough initial D so i knew what to do (jokes), honestly i just did what seemed like i should and managed to point the car straight, get some traction and go without spinning out or leaving my lane. Its those times i do wish i had traction control. Honestly thinking about getting specific tires made for wet roads and just put them on my stock wheels for the rainy season.
