Default Need your opinion on this 1 s2ki!

Hey, i just recently got rid of my GTI...thinking that i will be getting the s2k and I could still could get the s2k. So here is my situation, first off I am currently 20 years old and i work at an engineering firm as a project designer. I made around 2300-2500 a month. Me and a room mate of mine own a house in which is already fully paid off and the only thing i pay for is some of hte house bills. So here is my question. I am thinking about getting the s2k, but if i get the s2k i will be doing payments on it. I had this though in my mind a few days ago, what if i bought a del sol or 90-93 integra instead. That way i wouldn't have to make any payments and that would leave me more money for mods and more money for my personal needs like shoes, clothes, entertainment, etc. If i were to get the s2k, i would most likely take modding it slowly. Most likely i would do the simple and obvious like rims, suspension, lip and a hardtop is a must. So what do you guys think?

1. Get a del sol or something cheap (leaving 0 payments and more money for myself)
2. Get the s2k, and slowly mod it up (s2k = pimp)
3. Dont know what option 3 is, but maybe you guys would be able fill this in for me.

Thanks in advance

-Duston

Get the Del Sol now and start saving up for a used S2000 that you can purchase outright later.

option 3: buy used s2k and mod that!

honestly depends on your lifestyle, how important are
your other "hobbies" to your car indulgences

Is your posted salary before or after taxes?

Sounds like though you got your priorities in order (paying the house off). I'd say go for it and mod it SLOWLY.

Good luck.

my posted salary is after taxes. I honestly know for sure that i would be able to afford the s2k...considering that i was paying 24,000 for my GTI. A used s2000 is around maybe 20-22k out the door for a used 1.
