Default New comer to the S2k

I currently have a mitsu eclipse 3g that i did my own FI turbo project on, but now that the turbo is long gone, sold and now is boosting another eclipse in another state. It's time for me to switch gears and get something a little nicer. I really REALLY like the s2k but i have some quick easy questions i guess before i jump in the seat. I know hondas are notorious for their engines, do they still hold up in these cars? how're are the transmissions and such in these cars? and lastly the biggest question i havent really seen answered is, is it to turbo one of these myself without having to take it to a shop, other than the tune?

thanks guys i'd really appreciate and hopefully with some decent answers i'll be joining ya guys and telling you boosted stories.
