I'm new to the forum, I'm from California, I owned a 2000 S2k for about 2 years. I've since moved on to a tundra due to getting married and having a child but I am looking to pick one up in the near future, it all comes down to cash. The car I bought was from the second owner and I was told that it was one of the first 50 to be in the U.S. and was on the showroom floor in S.F. when the model was unveiled? The thing that was different about it was the windsheild frame was painted the same color as the car, and normally it's black on most cars. Anyway I don't know if it was all B.S. or not but the guy didn't really have a reason to lie. I have missed that car everyday since I sold it. Hoping to buy a AP2 if possible this summer or sooner.

Windscreen surround is just black tape.
There is paint undr there.

Yeah I didn't know if it was true or not, didn't care. The car was immaculate and ran perfectly. My only complaints were the trunk size and the stereo at speed was hard to hear but otherwise it was one of my favorite cars.

 

You should try shopping comparable cars... The S's trunk isn't that bad. At least the top doesn't take up trunk space.
