Hi everyone, browsed here a few years back when I first considered getting an s2k, finally joined because I have decided to finally buy one of my dream cars.

I currently own a mazdaspeed 3 and sold my sr20'd 240sx about 5 months ago. I miss the rwd and am tired of the ms3, to no fault of it's own, it's an amazing car, but i've never owned a car for more than 3 years. The 240 was basically fully track prepped, I am a member of NASA and love track driving.

3.5 years ago, when I looking to buy a new car (which became the ms3), I test drove an rx8, mazdaspeed miata, and ap1 s2k back to back to back at carmax. The s2000 was the literally the most amazing driving experience of my life. I've never felt to connected to a car before and felt so in control of everything it does. That day stuck with me, I decided not to get it then because I already had the 240sx, but not it's time.

I am going to get an ap1 because I am going to be cutting back on expenses, so I am buying the car outright in cash. I don't have 25k laying around, and really, I love the ap1's more twitchy style and, most importantly, the 9k rev limit. I'll probably buy a high mileage one, hoping to spend around 11k, then just replace the engine when it goes. The car will share daily duties with my kia and 1.8t jetta, the ms3 is being sold to fund the s2k, and in about 2 years the s2k will become a fully dedicated time attack car.

The ms3 will be up for sale probably by the end up april, just doing some maintenance before I sell it because I wan't to make sure the car is in the best possible condition for the next owner. Mine was modified to about 320 whp, was a f@#king monster, is an amazing handling machine, and despite some bumps along the road, has been one of my favorite cars.

My absolute favorite was my 240sx with the sr, I built it to be as perfectly balanced as an s13 can be, very little snap oversteer with my setup and 250whp in a 2200lb car. But the ms3 was great, I also previously owned a tec II turbo charged neon, a first gen rx7 with a 13bt swapped in from a 1990 t2 s2 rx7, a supercharged chrysler crossfire srt, a jeep, the 1.8t jetta (all stock), and the kia, lol, my mileage eater.

So, I hope to be joining you guys as an owner by late may, this looks like a great forum. I was a fairly common poster over at mazdaspeedforums, and will be pretty active here as well. I have never been more excited to own a car in my entire life, I have driven my dads 503 hp bmw m6 several times in different canyons, and that wasn't as much fun as I had on a test drive in the s2k (the guy let me do basically whatever I wanted up a small canyon after he saw my racing license)

Probably won't post much until I buy, just wanted to say hello and thanks for providing such an awesome forum.
