New owner
Hello, I bought my S about 2 weeks ago, and so far it's the best car I ever owned. It's 01 S2000 with 55k miles, new soft top; the car is pretty much stock expect for Bilstein PS9 coilovers with adjustable shocks. My previous car was 05 350Z, it's great car but S is definitely way better engineered car. Interior of S >>> interior of Z. Anyway, after about a week of driving I got into parking lot accident (still angry at myself
); I'm not used to the huge blind spots (it's my first roadster), so I was backing out of the parking spot and didn't see the car, so my rear bumper scratched the other car's rear quarter and wheel... I was wondering is it possible to just respray the bumper cover myself or should I just take it to the body shop. I'm actually trying to do it myself, it's a good learning experience.
Now, some pics of old car, and new.

I would def take it to a body shop, and have them repair/paint it off the car. If it's repairable. Silverstone paint is more than just a gray color, and has metallic in it... I would think it would be pretty hard to match it up yourself.
There's paint shop near me, they mix paint in spray cans, they mix it based on VIN provided, do you think they will be able to mix it up correctly?
