Welcome to the community! Car looks to be in fantastic condition! We've got a great S2000 group down here in SoVa. A few of us will be meeting up at Cars and Coffee in Virginia Beach this Saturday, you should try to make it.

And good call on the Amsoil. Mobil 1 seems to burn too much in an AP1. In all the 4 S2000s I've had, I have used Castrol in the engine, Honda MTF for the transmission, and LE 1605 for the diff (great stuff!).

I probably won't be able to make it this weekend, but I'm definitely looking forward to getting to know the local owners. I'm keeping an eye on the M-A forum and will definitely be attending events in the future

Welcome to the group! That car looks gorgeous, very nice find!

As you said, keep an eye on the Mid-A forum, we have probably 3-4 HUGE events throughout the year with the largest probably being the Skyline Cruise (nearly 70 S2000's at the last event.) There are cruises, meets, and bbq's all over though.

Being a newish owner myself, I would definitely recommend taking the first month or two, to get all of the routine maintenance taken care of. It'll be important for you to have a known start date on fluid mileage so you can start your own routine. I'm paying for the mistake of forgetting to flush and bleed my brakes by replacing my front right caliper since crumby fluid seemed to seize it up a month ago.

Another small part that you should consider taking a look at is the axle nut torque. They are cause for funny sounds and premature drive train wear if not torqued down to the new recommended settings. It's a super easy fix if you have a torque wrench that'll go up to 250 ft#. It was the first (mod) that I took care of.

Search the forum for new owners thread's and they should be more than enough to get your started!
