Default New Owner with Various Questions

great forum here. i became the owner of an 01 S yesterday. no rain for 5 weeks then it started last night - what luck!?

anyway, i've learned much here (like clutch deceleration noise that had me worried) that i thought i'd toss out one i couldn't find an answer for:

dome light stays lit when in middle position. off = off. on = off. light never comes on w/ the door open, however the Honda beep is present when key is in ignition. sounds like a bad/improperly wired dome light, but wondered if there are multiple wires going into the door switch (i.e. could still be a door switch issue).

on an unrelated note, i also have the auto down problem on driver window. tried resets to no avail. guess i'll be tearing apart the door to put in the autoloc. reminds me of my old '90 accord that had weak internal weather stripping. window would always jump the track. i could disassemble that door in 5 minutes flat. hopefully this will be a one time deal...

Never had to disassemble any doors but if I were you I'd have a dealer check it out. That is, if you can't fix it on your own. The car is 8 years old so most likely it had a few issues and that's why the previous owner got rid of it. Anyway, good thing is you probably won't have any serious issues with the car, people rarely do. Just little things like what you're dealing with.

appreciate the response. i took out the dome light tonight just to see if there was anything fishy - looked/felt like i was the first to do so, so i doubt it's something in the switch - unless it just went bad. time to bust out my trusty volt meter i suppose.

that's funny, my dome light only worked a few times. don't know if it's the bulb, the fuse, or bad wiring. never gave it much thought or bothered to care enough to get it fixed. damn, i'm lazy...
