Default New to the s2k

Hey whats up guys, im proud to say that im an owner of a white 2007 white on red s2k. I just wanted to see if i can get a heads up from you guys as far as what i should be aware of about this car. I have a couple of friends that had s2k and when we had races they would say that they didnt want to launch the car because they might break the diff or stuff like that. I just wanted to see what i should watch out for. Does anyone have any complaints about any of the 05, 06, or o7 s2k's? Any feedback is much appreciated... Thanks..

S2K is not a drag racing machine.

Like any car, if you abuse it things will break or wear prematurely. If treated right it's one of the most reliable sports cars on the market.

It's not a drag car although it's certainly quick for a 4 cyl N/A!

If you're new to RWD cars just be easy on the throttle during turns, especially in the wet and when making U-turns, haha.

No Complaints, it's a great car. Don't launch, or even VTEC it for the break-in period (600miles), and after that keep launching to a minmum. If you do it regularly, you will probably burn the clutch first since you have a Clutch Delay Valve. This softens the engagement, and will allow clutch slippage during spirited driving. This can be modded. Also VSA in combination with DriveByWire will soften launches as well. So if you really want to launch, turn VSA off. But as a new S2k driver, I'd leave VSA on until you really have a good feel for the car, say 5000-10000 miles. After that only turn it off temporarilly.

Finally, have you found the Gas tank release and the Secrect Compartment yet?

Good stuff man, I always wondered what the S2000 smelled like when it's new, lol.
Best advice, don't misshift so you don't overrev. That's it, have fun otherwise.
