New S2K owner
Hi all
Im 22 and I've wanted an S2000 for a few years now and always thought it was something which i wouldn't follow through and just plain wouldn't happen. I had a 2010 civic which I loved and pampered, then the phone rang...
Last Friday (28th February) the phone rang and it was a guy from the Honda garage where i got my civic from asking if i had received Honda's "E-magazine" i told him i hadn't and proceeded to tell me that they were getting loads of new civic tourers in and wanted to see if i was interested. My answer was of course, no, i'm 22 why would i want an estate car? I would only be interested in the new shape TYPE-R civic when it is released or an S2K, the man laughed and said we have a 2007 AP 2 here, moon rock with red leather, 43k on the clock, every receipt from Honda imaginable. Immediately I told him I would be there first thing the next day (bit of a bad one because it was my girlfriends 21st birthday that day but luckily im not in the dog house and she loves the S2K or Henry as she likes to call it ... )
So the next day I went to see it, it was exactly as he said, perfect condition and had been looked after very well. After some consultation with the family (just telling them its something I have to do or I will regret it severely) I headed back for another test drive and couldn't get enough of it, i don't have a massive car history with me only being 22 but it just feels so natural when driving it. I told him I would have it and then the ball was in motion.
Yesterday (8th March) Was my first official day of being an S2K owner, I picked the car up as soon as the garage opened, signed all the paper work, handed the keys to my civic over. Took it easy on the way home, had a blast down the straights once the engine had warmed up but nothing major.
Sorry for the long winded story but I would just like to say I couldn't be happier with the car and it still hasn't really settled in that it's actually mine yet. I look forward to getting to know you guys and being part of the S2K family
