Default New S2k owner!

I just picked up an 07 S2k and I love everything about it. I was wondering how many miles I should put on it before I can actually drive it the way I want to (i.e. use VTEC @WOT).

Welcome and congrats on your purchase. You should wait at least 600 miles before your first VTEC. And not a trip to redline, gently build up how far you go with VTEC.

Cool

600 sounds good to me ; I broke in my Si and 600RR the same way, by gradually and consistently increasing the rpm. thanks for the info. How about first oil change, maybe a roundabout figure? I read some people saying 3,XXX and some saying 6,XXX, or maybe I should wait for the car to tell me...

You could wait for the car to tell you, but I've heard about 5000 is a good number. Lets the break in oil do its work. Don't use synthetic until 10000 though.

Check the manual for break-in. Also, remember to break in the brake pads too in the first couple hundred miles

Congrats on your new baby!!
