New S2K Owner
Howdy all,
Not going to get into big detail in this post, just wanted to throw out a quick hello.
My name is David, but I go by Queezy. It's a bit of a weird nickname with a story that is probably better to be left untyped, but c'mon its kind of a fun nickname even though a little strange. =P
I've always been a driving enthusiast which has led me to like working on cars and getting them to perform, feel, and sound better. I still have a lot to learn and I freely admit that, but I love to learn how things work so I usually have the passion to see it through and do things right. I have always enjoyed coming up with my own ways to improve performance instead of spending $1000s on aftermarket parts (partly because I didn't have it, and partly because deep down somewhere I'm still a hard headed redneck that would rather do it myself than pay someone.)
I never thought I would be in a Honda with how much I used to despise civics (another story for a later time) but I have always respected how Honda can build things.
Eventually I hope to set up a nice post with a better introduction to a few aspects of my car and life, and what type of upgrades and repairs I will be doing, but I am not sure the best place on the forum for something like that yet, and I am not in a big rush since I am trying to finish my last semester of school.
I plan on keeping up with every single upgrade and repair cost and maybe even try to do some videos or at least photos to help keep up with it. This will be mainly to make it easier when I do have an issue, but maybe it will help someone else along the way. Might be a little late to really help others...being a 02 and all lol...but at least it'll be a nice little timeline and easy to look back on for future references.
Gonna finish it off with a list of vehicles I have owned, there is a 3 page long story at least for all of these vehicles lol, but remember this is supposed to be a short post (working out real nice eh?)-
2000 Honda Rebel (at 14, on a motorcycle, you learn real quick that people can't drive)
1987 Dodge D50 (doesn't deserve to be called a ram lol...it was fun tho)
1995 Toyota Corolla (first car bought, quite a few modifications racked up on it, but that'll be in another post)
2006 Mazda Miata (first new car bought, just because they took the name off doesn't mean its not a miata lol)
2010 Harley Davidson Iron 883 (have i made it clear I love the sound of exhaust pipes? =P)
2002 Honda S2000 (I was looking for a truck, but I saw this in a local used lot in nearly mint condition and had to get it. 9k RPM!!! lol)
As i mentioned earlier I am in my last semester of college so I doubt I will be very active on the forums atm, but I wanted to go ahead and get my introduction out of the way. Hope that wasn't too boring =P I look forward to getting to know all of you in the community and making my S2K into something even better.
